PROBA-3 SWT8

We invite you to join the PROBA-3 Meeting at the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research in Göttingen from Monday 23  to Thursday 26 September 2019.

We are now about two years from launch and we have besides scientific topics
also many practical issues to discuss. For this reason we would like to devote
the first two days of our meeting to splinter sessions before the SWT proper:

Mon,  1400 – 1800 ASPIICS Science Consortium Meeting
(internal discussions for consortium members only, i.e. for ASPIICS Co-Investigators and Associated Scientists)
Tue,    0900 – 1800 ASPIICS Science Operations Workshop
(open to all the members of the ASPIICS and DARA teams, as well as to the PROBA-3 team at ESA)
Wed,    0900 – 1800           Thu,     0900 – 1500 8th PROBA-3  Science Working Team Meeting

Relevant results from the discussions on Monday and Tuesday will be reported
at the SWT on Wednesday and Thursday.
Besides the scientific programme, we will offer a barbecue reception to all
attendees on Tuesday evening and we plan a social dinner in downtown Goettingen on Wednesday night.

Accommodation

Most hotel options in Göttingen are located near the city center. This is about 3.5 km or a 45 min walk from MPS, where the meeting will take place. There are good and frequent bus connections from the city center to MPS. Another option is to rent a bike because a bicycle is the ideal means of transport in Göttingen.
